We broke our previous walking record today! It’s 7 pm and we’re exhausted. Of course, some of that might be from the two
pub stops on our way home <grin>.
We started off walking towards the harbor thinking we had
lots of time before the Victoria Tartan Parade reached Government Street – not! After running from the bottom of the Inner
Harbor, up the stairs, I managed to get a couple of photos but they’re not good. Then, on our way home, we heard the bagpipes
and rushed to catch them again only to be foiled once again as they stopped at
the Bard and Banker for a drink. Wasn’t
meant to be today I guess. Maybe we’ll
have a better shot next weekend at the Victoria Highland Games.
But we did get to see a group getting their instructions prior to going on a whale watching trip.
Looks like quite a production just to go whale watching!!
We started off going across the Johnson Street Bridge and
onto the West Song Parkway. This was a
wonderful walkway along the shore from Victoria to West Bay Marina. It was the best walk we’ve had; great things
to see and a coffee stop at Spinnakers Pub.
