Victoria BC

A quick trip to this morning to Walmart which is almost double the size of our Costco at home.  Yikes!!

Then we were off to Government House.  This is the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia and a working office.  The house is only open to the public at certain times so we only got to tour the grounds.  While the Governor General represents The Queen in Canada, the Lieutenant Governor represents Her Majesty at the provincial level.

Roses are just starting to bloom.  It'll be magnificent in a couple of weeks.

One of many pathways

We thought the sundial was off and then remembered we were on Daylight Saving Time!

Government House

A walk along the David Foster Parkway and Happy Hour at the Days Inn and then we were off to have dinner at Pizzeria Prima Strada which serves Neopolitan Pizza.   “Paying homage to our Italian roots with a commitment to simple and fresh ingredients on traditional wood-fired, thin crust pizzas. Our mission is to provide delicious food in a fun and playful environment.”  What an interesting experience!  We sat at the bar where we watched the pizza being created and cooked.

We've made the reservation on the ferry for Saturday morning from Sidney BC to Anacortes WA and we will then make our way south to Santa Barbara.  Time to practice  . . .
