Victoria BC

What a grand day today!  And Norm is at 95% so definitely better.

We started our day with a great Sunday morning breakfast at the Heron Rock Bistro and then walked to the Victoria Curling Club for the Times Colonist Book Sale.  It was a mass of humanity. What a hoot!  I walked away with a Louisa May Alcott six volume set published in 1955 for $10.  Unbelievable!!

We could have spent hours looking around but we didn’t have hours so we wandered down to the Royal Theatre where we had tickets to see The Piano Man.  The show was fantastic and featured the music of Billy Joel & Elton John played on the piano by Jim Witter and backed by the Victoria Symphony Orchestra.  He’s taken this show all over the world to rave reviews.

At intermission we went into the hallway and started to laugh.  I don’t know why the sight of walkers lined up on both sides of the hallway was particularly funny but somehow it struck us as hilarious (mine is the one with the red coat sticking out of the seat <grin>.)

A lovely walk back home where we passed a couple of interesting buildings and saw the boat show wrapping up.

Loved this entrance to Police Headquarters.

A full day with gorgeous weather.

  1. Isn't that Royal Theatre lovely? And what a fine orchestra too, all within walking distance.
